So, now I guess that's good to go. I can edit > it/apply it but not remove it. I guess I can just let it stay there even > though it's of no use to me? There's a "Windows SBS EMail Address" Policy > in place as it is that does what I need. > If it was upgraded, then that's your policy now. I don't think the default can be deleted, IIRC. I've never tried, and have just created additional policies for filtering or mailbox management reasons in 2003. However, just to make sure, check ADSI Edit to see if there are two policies in place. | Re: SBS 2008 - "Exchange E-Mail address policy cannot be configured"... You are welcome Ace. Also thank you for the supplement of ADSI Edit checking steps. Yes, we always avoid using ADSI Edit to modify the AD object directly if we have UI console to do that. Just FYI, I also found another article about upgrading Address List with Exchange 2007 from Exchange team blog here: Address List and EAP filter upgrades with Exchange Server 2007 http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/20...11/432158.aspx Thanks for your time. Best regards, Robbin |

| Re: SBS 2008 - "Exchange E-Mail address policy cannot be configured"... Hi Ryan, Thanks for your update and glad to know we are making progress. Please go on with your migration according to the migration guide documents. An Accepted Domain and Email-Address Policy is created using the chosen domain name. Regarding the email address policies and how to configure them in SBS 2008, you may refer to articles below : Introducing the Internet Address Management Wizard: Part 3 of 3 http://blogs.technet.com/sbs/archive...rt-3-of-3.aspx Configure the server to send and receive Exchange Server e-mail over the Internet http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...68(WS.10).aspx Configuring Internet Mail in Windows Small Business Server 2008 <http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc527480.aspx> Also, if you have any questions or concerns or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to let us know. Thanks for your time and efforts. Best regards, Robbin Meng(MSFT) Microsoft Online Newsgroup Support |
