    SMTP Relay on SBS 2008

I am facing a issue with Windows SBS 2008. I am not able to work on it. There is a relay to work problem on it. The reason can be APC Smart-UPS 1500. But still I am not confident on the same. There are many things which are locked and I am not allowed to modify any settings. Also I am not so good on Exchange. I am looking for a way through which I can create a SMTP connection on Windows SBS 2008. I am sure there will be some kind of working option.

To work on that you will require additional receive connection. This is a kind of permission for exchange to send data. While with the new one you wll be able to allow mail work on a particular ip only. 589 is the default receiver port on the server. I think to work on additional connector you will need to work more on the security. Below is a helpful link that can help you in dealing with the problem. There is ample of information available on the same.
