| Blackberry sync to Exchange via Outlook over HTTP
Hi folks, Our CEO has two offices, one here at our main office and one at a branch office. He has two notebooks - one here, and one there (he doesn't like to carry one with him). He has a blackberry, and gets his e-mail directly, but syncs for calendar and contacts, mainly calendar. His "main" notebook here at the home office works fine, but he wants to sync from the remote office as well. I'm quite sure he can't sync over a TS connection via RDP, but if I set up his Outlook 2003 on his remote notebook to connect via HTTP, could he sync remotely that way? Anyone done this? Mike |

Using the PIM sync tool in the Blackberry desktop, and trying to sync from two machines may cause problems. If you want to try, though, contact RIM/Blackberry support for their software. I wouldn't do this as he's likely to end up with duplicates. |

Thanks Lanwench. I read somewhere else that RIM has a Express version of professional which is free and for only one user, which would both apply in my needs, so I'm going to look into that. When I last looked at BES (when he got the blackberry), it was several thousand dollars, which for one user would seem crazy, but I'm going to check out the Express version. That would seem a lot easier than trying to sync from two machines. I tend to use the terms interchangeably, but yeah, what you want is the Professional version. You can add other BBs if you buy licenses for them - but there is a limit of x (I don't remember how many). > > > "Lanwench [MVP - Exchange]" wrote: > >> Mike <Mike@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: >>> Hi folks, >>> >>> Our CEO has two offices, one here at our main office and one at a >>> branch office.
