It's easier to use your ISP's SMTP "SMARTHOST" gateway. (*Call them and ask) Or where you Host's the company websites smtp gateway. Just look up Outlook Setup instructions. There are some Caveats by using Gmail's SMTP Gateway I personally would not choose Gmail for this... (I would prefer to pay for a SMTP gateway before using gmails.) Just my 2 cents. First and foremost, make sure that you are not an open relay. Second, make sure that you have an SPF record configured. Third get yourself some adequate spam protection. For an inexpensive solution, I recommend you go with Postini (from Google). It will only cost you $2/mailbox/year. You can then configure your Exchange server to only accept incoming mail from the Postini servers to eliminate any spam coming in directly to your server. Forth, make sure all clients have updated AV and run spyware scans on them too. Make sure you really are NOT sending out spam. When you have verified/completed the above suggestions, get yourself off of the RBLs. It should not cost you ANYTHING. Any company that wants money to get you removed is a scam. You can do an RBL check for free on Hope that helps, Mark D. MacLachlan -- |

Well by default a SBS server is not a open relay. *he would have to configure it to be a open relay. I wonder if he has a sbs Server or not?
