SBS 2008 & Backup Exec Notifications

We have an SBS 2008 box with Backup Exec 12.5 installed. I have configured
the backup not a problem however when i setup the notifications they don't
come through to my external email.

I have compaired the settings for the notifications to another SBS server
and they are identical abet from the server names and the other server is
SBS 2003

I think something in Exchange 2007 is blocking the notifications, but what?

In Exchange 2007 you have to set up a receive connector and give it
the address of the SBS box or the IP range for the LAN. I had the
same problem with Trend Micro and the notifications not going out.

I agree with Rob, please first check the Receive Connectors on the SBS server. By default, after you have successfully running Introducing the Internet Address Management
Wizard(IAMW), there are three Receive Connectors on the Exchange server to which will help you allow application servers to relay off Exchange Server 2007. Please check
their configurations by referring the following threads and blog article:

Hope this helps. Also, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Re: SBS 2008 & Backup Exec Notifications

I'm having the same problem, could you tell me how you configured your receive connector?
I've created a receive connector for the printer (it works), and added the IP address for the SBS server to it, but that seemed odd anyway because it is the exchange server. I don't understand why if BackupExec is on the SBS a receive connector is needed.

Anyone elses help would be helpful too.
