Some xp clients very slow to boot (near to solution....)

I have got SBS 2003 Prem running on VMware ESX 3.5. I have got another 15 windows xp clients with same software config and half of them are booting very slowly, atleast for 3 minutes they get stucked on applying computer settings. The ipconfigs on clients are fine and the DNS/DHCP settings on SBS is checked and alright as well. There are no old network printers, nothing shared to PC that is connected. The network later, that is, switches, cables, Nics, drivers, etc, are all fine. I have tracked down some services that were causing the booting slowly problems which was related to NETLOGON. Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot NETLOGON in slow booting problem?

Follow the below method to troubleshoot the issue that you are facing:

    1. First of all make sure you have all root dns servers listed in yoru DNS Server Properties.
    2. After that as long as you have those you do not need to put forwarders.
    3. Then check your external DNS setting if it is set to an internal Address. Set that to your ISP DNS.
    4. Now check all clients DNS that should point to the 192.168.16.2
