"The terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of allowableconnections"

Getting the above message on my SBS2003 server when two users are
logged on a a third is trying to logon with RWW. How can I check that
my licenses are in place(should have 5) and why this error keeps
coming up

thanks
Rick

Re: "The terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of allowable connections"

The SBS server is only authorized for two users (well, maybe three if you
use the console). RWW is intended for users to connect to either their own
workstations or a Terminal Server to run programs. SBS only allows two
users, and then only for administrative tasks, not to run shared programs.

Your users should not be logging into the SBS server at all (via RD or at
the console). If you have a Terminal Services box you will need to provide
more info about it & your TS licensing.

Just in case you need a third opinion
the other two are correct

Sorry Rick

The SBS2003 is not ever to be used as a Terminal Server.
and should NEVER be used as a workstation.
The 5 licenses that come with SBS2003 are to access the Domain that SBS
Controls.
File Sharing, SharePoint, Exchange etc.
and NOT to access the server in a PC roll. (EVER!)

I hope that someone Didn't SELL you this as a use for a Terminal server.

Russ
