| Offline File sync I need to enable offline files for our outside guys and I want them to be able to download the latest and greatest in the selected folder on the server but I do not want their offline files to update to the server. (I always want the server files to override the offline files.) I also don't want to make the entire folder on the server read only. Is there an easy way to make offline files sync in one direction only. (Client is XP Pro and server is SBS 2003) Thanks in advance. |

considered document libraries in CompanyWeb and making it available externally? Then you can control who can add or modify and who can read/checkout |

| Re: Offline File sync
That is a little beyond the scope of how offline files was meant to be used. You'd want to look at a product specifically for this. MS has a product called 'groove' that offers this level of granularity, although I haven't had a need for it in any of my environments yet. So I have no personal experience with the product. |

I use a programme to file synchronization, which is called File Sync. File Sync: why you need it? May be because of its efficiency. That is why I use this program and haven't any problems. |
