SBS 2003 offline sync problem with Win XP client

I have a vexing problem with one specific user on one specific client PC - in
this case a Toshiba Protégé laptop. When this user creates a document offline
it fails to synchronise with the server when next on the network.

I've proven that the sync works perfectly when this user uses another client
PC with their user logon. I've also proven that sync works fine when another
user, in this case Administrator, uses the Protégé offline and offline
documents are successfully synchronised when next online. So sync fails for
one particular mobile user on one specific computer - their own!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Rather than putting a lot of time into troubleshooting this, I'd
re-initialize the offline cache on the laptop. While connected to the LAN,
go to Folder Options -> Offline Files. While holding down ctrl + shift,
click Delete Files. That'll blow away not only the existing offline files,
but also the database that controls them. Re-sync, and hopefully the
problem will be solved.

(This is XP, right? The procedure is different for Vista and I don't know
it offhand).

At last I identified the problem and this is something that could affect many users. The problem was identified to finger recognition software called True Suite Access Manager. Once the finger recognition software was de-activated and uninstalled everything was fine with the file syncronisation. Imagine all the business laptops out there with built in finger recognition all freshly configured to work on MS Exchange server networks only to hit this problem as soon as the end user activates their finger recognition log on!
