Help me find this registry key

All machines in our domain are set for "Adust for best performance, so the
Fisher Price theme is gone.
I want to find the registry key(s) so I can add it to my own custom policy.
For the future, there is no room for such bs in the work envireonement.

I don't know about the registry settings for "adjust for best performance,"
but it's insanely easy to force the Windows Classic theme on all PCs via
GPO. I do it all the time.

It is forced, however some computers simply won't take it...

The policy? Where did you set it? Run rsop.msc and find out why.

It is forced from the
user>administrative>c-panel>display>desktop-themes > Load specific and left
blank.
All 4 policies above are at enable status (prohibit).
44 out of 49 work fine...

Re: Help me find this registry key

You need to find out why the policy isn't applying to those machines.
Finding the registry key and manually changing it *isn't* the answer. You
are avoiding the problem and fixing a symptom, not the root cause...and
you'll pay for that later.

Security groups, mismatched WMI filters, machines with different
images...all of these can play a part, and all of these could cause bigger
problems if you start manually mucking with the registry. As Lan said, RSOP
is your best bet here.

I didn't mean that; I know where it is in GP - I meant, what policy? did you
create a custom one? where is it linked?

Which policies?

hold on Nostradamus..
Who said I want to change it manually? I said help me find it, since my
sysinternals regtools cannot help me deep enough. When I find it, I can
try and identify an issues, since rsop says it is implemented.

I believe I found the cause of the problem.
It turns out these computers were brought in from a remote office and
had a custom shell software installed.
Wipe out and re-image fixed # 1, so I think I am good to go.
I hate when the client do not tell all!
