| SBS 2003 R2 + WSUS 3.0 - KB948110 Fails
Keep getting nagged to install this update, but it always fails. This is a new server which is getting its updates before deployment. Manual install fails, too - no SQL 2000 boxes are tickable in the installer. How to fix, please? |

Hi Russ, Yeah - I have been reading some of the posts here on this update. Not sure why WUS reckons I need this update anyway - am I running any SQL 200 stuff?. I just want to make it go away :) Cheers, Bill "Russ (www.SBITS.Biz)" <support@REMOVETHIS.sbits.biz> wrote in message news:u204QOe%23IHA.872@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > That's GOOD IMO. > > But I'm actually confused on where we stand on this now? > Before it was Don't install. and Now I read this? > http://blogs.technet.com/sbs/archive...3-servers.aspx > > So it's a Install if you can? > > Maybe Susan Will jump in. > (right now I'm on a hold for them) > > Russ > > -- > Russell Grover - SBITS.Biz > Microsoft Gold Certified Partner > Microsoft Small Business Specialist > World Wide Remote SBS2003 Support - http://www.SBITS.Biz > > > "Bill Glidden" <billyg1943@hotmail.com> wrote in message > news:uWH2$Yd%23IHA.3396@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >> Keep getting nagged to install this update, but it always fails. Duh Now I read the below (I just saw the underlines) LOL ---------------------------------------- We have determined that this issue only occurs on Small Business Server 2003 Server in which CompanyWeb was upgraded to SQL 2000 from WMSDE and was neverupdated to SQL SP4. If your CompanyWeb site is still using WMSDE (the default) you can go ahead and apply this update. If your CompanyWeb has been migrated to SQL 2005 this issue also does not apply to you and you can apply this update. If you have been affected by this issue or you have updated to SQL 2000 please review this: http://blogs.technet.com/sbs/archive...ng-948110.aspx. --------------------- Now were do you fit in? If it's the part you don't want to update. Then Disapprove it. If it's where you want to Update it. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948110 Read the issues. Thanks, Russ. I will read and digest. I have not updated any of the MSDE instances to SQL 2000, they are default installation. So, I guess I just disapprove (I REALLY do!).
