What is minimum and maximum processor state in power management

Having a small knowledge type query. I just started using Windows Vista on a MSI laptop, there is no problem with the system but I just wanted to know what is the maximum and minimum processor state in power management?

    Any idea regarding this ?

Yeah, I got your point dude and would like to tell you that minimum and maximum processor state actually refers to your CPU speed. As far as I know Minimum is 0% and maximum processor state is 100% in Vista Home premium. Let me explain in details. In case if it is 50% maximum while on battery then the CPU frequency will be running at 50% under normal speed prolonging battery life at the cost of performance. Hope you got my point.
