Memory Key: WMPInfo.xml

I have just found out WMPInfo.xml file in the root of the memory key that I have and it has nothing but some type of synchronisation key for windows media player 11? I am looking to do something to it by putting something in that XML file that will tell windows media player 11 to nothing of interest or so. Is it possible to do such a thing? Thanks

I think that WMP uses that key to find the device and apply the move along now settings which might be based on a list of devices that you could have plugged in for syncing purpose. Incase you set the preference for do not sycn with the memory card connected to it then it will remember that since it will be able to find the WMPInfo.xml details to get some knowledge about that same device.

I think that I am not finding the proper "do not sync" because when I plug in the stick which is turned off then I can find it but the XML file will not change at all. I disconnect the stick and then put the Windows Media Player 11 in Library mode and then plug the stick back in and then end up at the Sync tab again. There was an option called "Sync when device inserted" which is unselected and also grayed out?
