After reading the link for this Critical Update, it sounds like this is only
for non-english versions. Our office only uses English versions. Is it
really critical for us to install this update?

I'd say it's not needed. I let MS Update install this update and it
deleted my HP Printer settings completely. I used System Restore to get
rid of the update and my printer settings were restored.
The KB article explained the update very well but not the results that I
got. The brief summary of the update in the Windows Update window was
very misleading.
Bill
Thanks Bill, that confirms what I suspected.

Another thought for anyone who may need to follow Bill's lead and use system
restore: This update will download again unless you go to the Windows Update
website, check for updates, choose Custom, then uncheck the box beside this
update and check "do not show this update again".

Estou tendo problemas com o update KB934238 dando o erro 0x80242006 e
gostaria de saber como estar solucionando.
Desde ja agradeço pela colaboraçao.
I installed the Service Pack 1 update for .net Framework 3.0 and then my
system stopped trying to install KB934238 every time automatic updates ran or
when I visited the Windows Update Site. I don't know if this will be
applicable to anyone else, but worth a shot.
