Customizing XPs "other places" in common tasks

I need some help to customize Windows XP. First I am trying to tweak the ui making it a bit more better in look. Second I want to customize other places also here which lies under common task. I hope there will be some application available which can do the job. I tried many things here but nothing looks to be working. Can anyone provide me some good tweaking application through which I can do major changes in the system.

What are you trying to do. There is no way you can completely modify the XP interface. There are some tweaking utilities available on the web. But they do not really work fine. Many of app make the system to perform more slower. It is essential that you must simply use the basic theme that keeps the performance work well. Do not just simply add anything and customize the UI. The performance can be degraded more.

There is an application that you can use. It is called as Tweak UI. It allows you to modify the side pane of windows xp and work fine. It also gives you more higher number of option to tweaks different thing. Till yet I had not found any other application which works as proper as TweakUI. You can download this from web and test the same in your system. It is also quiet low on system resources. Also you cannot restore the changes back to normal once you modify them via this tool.

I am also using Tweak UI. It is a simple and free tool that allows to customize XP user interface. There are very basic option available on the same. With simple GUI window it is quiet easy to use and modify the system registry. I do not think you can customize XP entirely via this. There are some limited options only available. But you can use some kind of third party application available on the web. This third party app are more easier to customize the system interface and works really well.

There is one more tool available that you must test. It is called as CutoPack Tools. The tool is best for customizing Windows XP and gives you ample of nice output. Compare to TweakUI this is a bit more advance. There are more additional options available on the same through which you can simply modify the settings and make your system work really well. There are simple custom option available which are easy to use also. Just test the same and then try back.
