Toshiba Satellite L25-S1217 driver for ATI Radeon Xpress 200M

Does ATI Radeon Xpress 200M is capable of running Windows Vista AERO. The card is very basic but still I hope that is will allow AERO to perform properly. The processor is Celeron M 1.6GHz CPU and 512MB RAM. The laptop model is Toshiba Satellite L25-S1217. So I had seen some users complaining about using AERO on similar laptop which does not work well.

As per the specification posted by ATi the card will support Vista AERO. But I am not sure about the drivers. You have to locate that first. If you want you can contact Toshiba for the same. Or else it will be a complete mess in installation. Because if you are not getting the right drivers then Vista will crash or lag a lot.

The series of gpu that your system has supports AERO. But that usually depends on the driver you are using. If you are using a bit outdated drivers then video issue will be common. It would be better if you start checking the same on the official site. There would be compatible drivers listed on it.

I faced a similar issue when I blindly updated my system to Vista without worrying about the driver configuration. It made my job more complicated. I was wondering to restore XP back but there was no way. My GPU was detected by due to inappropriate availability of drivers things went worse. Later on I installed XP and used Vista on both side. This made the system to perform bit proper.
