Error: 'you do not have permissions required to access the wsus server' while connecting wsus server via console

I am getting Error: 'you do not have permissions required to access the wsus server' while connecting wsus server via console. I am quite sure that permissions are set in administrators group but no luck. Any ideas what might be wrong?? Should i try uninstalling and reinstalling wsus ?

I will suggest you to check out drive and directories where updates get stored and make sure that permissions are set correctly.Right-click on drive where updates are stored and click on "Sharing and Security" after that ensure below things.

• Drive has read permissions for built-in Users group or NT Authority\Network Service.
• Root folder on drive has read permissions for NT Authority\Network Service.
• Content directory <drivename>:\WSUS\WsusContent) has read permissions for NT Authority\Network
• Service.

disable allow anonymous access in IIS>API remoting 30

enable windows integrated

thats what worked for me.
