Can not uninstall WSUS 3.0

I had started running WSUS on Windows 2003 R2 32 SP2 and it was working fine, Recently i have dcpromo my system to domain controller and since then it stopped working, Currently i am trying to uninstall it so that i can install it again but i am getting an error message saying "The Windows Server Update Services 3.0 was not removed successfully because an error occurred." I don't think i am missing out anything but i will like to know if there is some other way of removing it completely.

In that case you can try out using msi removal tool for removing WSUS 3.0. If that doesn't help then you can run wsussetup.exe /u and delete the database manually. I think msi removal tool should probably help you out in uninstalling WSUS completely. Try it out and let me know if you find it helpful.

One should not dcpromo an IIS server, i have come across many people complaining about the same thing after dcpromo. As Felisha has suggested you can try using removal tool like msi removal tool or cc cleaner for removing WSUS from your system. Just make sure that you are uninstalling WSUS and IIS both and reinstalling them later. If you will just uninstall and reinstall WSUS then it wont help and there are chances of WSUS getting braked again.
