| Server "not yet reported" on WSUS
I have set up WSUS on a Windows 2003 Server machine that is not a Domain Controller. The problem I have is that I have 2 DC's in separate physical locations (one in Adelaide and one in Darwin). The WSUS sits in Adelaide. The DC in Adelaide seems to be updating to the WSUS just fine but the one in Darwin does not. It reposrts its status as "not yet reported". I have installed the latest WU client and run "wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow" with no luck. ALL machines including servers are set up in WSUS using Group Policy with client-side targeting enabled. The two networks are separated using frame relay on a managed WAN. They are on the same subnet but using a different IP range - Adelaide is using 192.168.21.xxx and Darwin is using 192.168.22.xxx I have attached a portion of the WU.log file from the Darwin server: Triggering AU detection through DetectNow API ############# ## START ## AU: Search for updates ######### <<## SUBMITTED ## AU: Search for updates [CallId = {E33AC942-B847-4D3B-98EF-1DFA7ADC4510}] ************* ** START ** Agent: Finding updates [CallerId = AutomaticUpdates] ********* WARNING: WinHttp: SendRequestToServerForFileInformation failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: ShouldFileBeDownloaded failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: SendRequestToServerForFileInformation failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: ShouldFileBeDownloaded failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: SendRequestToServerForFileInformation failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: ShouldFileBeDownloaded failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: SendRequestToServerForFileInformation failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: ShouldFileBeDownloaded failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: DownloadFileInternal failed for http://flaapps02/selfupdate/wuident.cab: error 0x80190193 FATAL: IsUpdateRequired failed with error 0x80244018 WARNING: SelfUpdate: Default Service: IsUpdateRequired failed: 0x80244018 WARNING: SelfUpdate: Default Service: IsUpdateRequired failed, error = 0x80244018 * WARNING: Skipping scan, self-update check returned 0x80244018 * WARNING: Exit code = 0x80244018 ********* ** END ** Agent: Finding updates [CallerId = AutomaticUpdates] ************* WARNING: WU client failed Searching for update with error 0x80244018 >>## RESUMED ## AU: Search for updates [CallId = {E33AC942-B847-4D3B-98EF-1DFA7ADC4510}] # WARNING: Search callback failed, result = 0x80244018 ######### ## END ## AU: Search for updates [CallId = {E33AC942-B847-4D3B-98EF-1DFA7ADC4510}] ############# AU setting next detection timeout to 2007-01-22 09:45:35 REPORT EVENT: {CF820661-860F-42C2-95C5-90F917E323C4} 2007-01-22 14:15:35+0930 1 148 101 {D67661EB-2423-451D-BF5D-13199E37DF28} 0 80244018 SelfUpdate Failure Software Synchronization Error: Agent failed detecting with reason: 0x80244018 Triggering AU detection through DetectNow API ############# ## START ## AU: Search for updates ######### <<## SUBMITTED ## AU: Search for updates [CallId = {D5A5AD77-196A-4DD5-A89C-ECC588B2EBDC}] ************* ** START ** Agent: Finding updates [CallerId = AutomaticUpdates] ********* WARNING: WinHttp: SendRequestToServerForFileInformation failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: ShouldFileBeDownloaded failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: SendRequestToServerForFileInformation failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: ShouldFileBeDownloaded failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: SendRequestToServerForFileInformation failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: ShouldFileBeDownloaded failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: SendRequestToServerForFileInformation failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: WinHttp: ShouldFileBeDownloaded failed with 0x80190193 WARNING: DownloadFileInternal failed for http://flaapps02/selfupdate/wuident.cab: error 0x80190193 FATAL: IsUpdateRequired failed with error 0x80244018 WARNING: SelfUpdate: Default Service: IsUpdateRequired failed: 0x80244018 WARNING: SelfUpdate: Default Service: IsUpdateRequired failed, error = 0x80244018 * WARNING: Skipping scan, self-update check returned 0x80244018 * WARNING: Exit code = 0x80244018 ********* ** END ** Agent: Finding updates [CallerId = AutomaticUpdates] ************* WARNING: WU client failed Searching for update with error 0x80244018 >>## RESUMED ## AU: Search for updates [CallId = {D5A5AD77-196A-4DD5-A89C-ECC588B2EBDC}] # WARNING: Search callback failed, result = 0x80244018 ######### ## END ## AU: Search for updates [CallId = {D5A5AD77-196A-4DD5-A89C-ECC588B2EBDC}] ############# AU setting next detection timeout to 2007-01-22 09:46:43 REPORT EVENT: {7DC24792-B5C0-44F8-8044-6B10EB519E25} 2007-01-22 14:16:43+0930 1 148 101 {D67661EB-2423-451D-BF5D-13199E37DF28} 0 80244018 SelfUpdate Failure Software Synchronization Error: Agent failed detecting with reason: 0x80244018 Initializing simple targeting cookie, clientId = 731c1372-87ac-460b-8a53-357a7255821c, target group = Servers, DNS name = fldfile001.freightlink.com.au PT Server URL = http://flaapps02/SimpleAuthWebService/SimpleAuth.asmx Report Uploading 2 events using cached cookie, reporting URL = http://flaapps02/ReportingWebService...ebService.asmx Report Reporter successfully uploaded 2 events.
