We use ghost to image our PC, so they will all have the same SUSClientID, we just created a script to edit this through group policy - and that should do, if not a quick wuauclt /detectnow and a gpupdate /force should do it after making the changes! http://www.wsuswiki.com/ClientFAQ have a look at point 5 on this faq! Here's some information that I found regarding the error code 8024f002: --- Actual error code: 0x8024f002 -2145062910 WU_E_REPORTER_EVENTNAMESPACEPARSEFAILED event namespace descriptor XML could not be parsed --- This is a bit cryptic to me, so Google brought me to here: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=8024f002 The topmost link (http://www.mcse.ms/archive302-2005-6-1694188.html) seems to be like your issue. Let us know if this helps. Duplicated SusClientIDs shouldn't be an issue with RIS installed images, as RIS installation forces the creation of a new AccountDomainSID; however, as nothing has guarantees, one should always eliminate this possibility anyway. -- Lawrence Garvin, M.S., MVP-Software Distribution Everything you need for WSUS is at http://technet2.microsoft.com/window...s/default.mspx And, eveything else is at http://wsusinfo.onsitechsolutions.com .... |
