How to Move WSUS Database From Windows Server 2003 to 2008

I am running Windows Server 2003 R2 with WSUS and am soon going to replace it with Windows Server 2008 R2. I want to use the existing download database rather than to install WSUS and have it download all the updates again. So can anyone tell me how to install WSUS on 2008 server and have it take over the WSUS database? On the same machine as the Windows 2008 running has the WSUS database, so it is not possible to have 2003 and 2008 to run at the same time. Any ideas?

Incase you want to install the same version of WSUS and the database server is already installed and functioning, then you can simply point the installer to the existing WSUS database.
