    No computers reporting and LOTS of 80244019

    I have got WSUS 3.0 server that I have just installed. I have removed 2.0 and installed 3.0 and have many vista machines and another 2003 server. None of the machines not even the WSUS server itself has reported or show up in the WSUS console. When I checked the update log on the WSUS server then I was seeing the below things:

    I am also getting 80244019 errors on the Vista machines, is there any fix for this issue? Thank you.

    Even I am facing the same issue and have been searching different forums for a solution. I have ended up uninstalling IIS, SQL and WSUS and then reinstalled IIS, and WSUS and went with SQL Express instead of SQL till now.

    The error 0x80244019 is a HTTP 404 error message that means the client is not finding what its searching for. Although, I would like to know what the client was trying to access exactly before I could offer anything more that would be useful.

    I checked under Default Websites and check for the properties for SelfUpdate. The local path did not look proper, so I browsed and manually set the path. After that I used to Apply and then the computers started checking in and updating their status. I have already set the directory browsing property for Content but I dont beleive that was the setting that might have caused everything to start working. I think that the selfupdate virtual directory might be missing from the Default Website.

    I had the virtural Dir in the default site vs having it under the WSUS..

    I was able to get teh Clientdiag to run cleanly.

    I actually have to restart now!

    i am getting the same error code.

    what happend was i reinstall wsus, and clients can talk to the server, but in updatelog i am getting the error
