Client not showing in WSUS console

I have a client whos windowsupdate.log show that it is downloading and reporting to wsus. However the client never shows up in the WSUS console. We are using WSUS 3 SP1, client is 2003 R2 SP 2.

eventually, and after a couple of tries, wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow got the client to register in WSUS console
