Content file download failed. Reason: File cert verification failure

When ever I approved the security patches, it is not downloading from
Internet to WSUS.

WSUS gives following error

But when I disabled "Download express installation files" in Update
files and Languages under option, approved security patches starts
getting downloaded from Internet to WSUS.

Please let me know how to fix File cert verification failure.

This has been a commonly occuring error of recent weeks.

First thing to check is to verify that you've installed the latest edition
of KB931125. (The May 2009 edition was released 5/25/09.)

getting similar on a Server 2008 WSUS. There does not appear to be a 931125
for 2008 (huh?).

I haven't directly checked, but I would have thought the May 2009 release
would apply to all platforms.

my 2008 does not have 931125 listed as installed. This box is the WSUS and
931125 is approved in WSUS. Sending the same box to WU/MU does not detect
931125 as installable. 931125 say 'XP Family' and I can see no equivalent
for 2008 (not saying it doesn't exist, stuffed if I can find it though).

However, I took the 2008 to SP2 and also gave it more RAM (was 1GB, now1.75)
and the problem seems to have been resolved.

The 360MB Windows 2008 SP2 successfully downloaded before the change (that's
how I implemented SP2), the 2 Vista SP2's (x86 and x64) were both over 500MB
and were failing/retrying.
