i suspect it is probably a driver issue becoz win7 can run smoothly in a 1Gb RAM .... just asking if in the installation of win7 you did not encounter any probs is ther any error that you see upon...

just wondering why you dont know the bios password ? you need to go inside the bios to check the boot order of you machine ...might be a bios config only

Hi Wiz 32 or 64 Bit is compatible with your Specs i would suggest to follow nicomono suggestion to install it fresh so that you will have no problem with the OS ....
