I've recently been having problems with my laptop, where everytime I turn it on, it only POSTs sometimes (yes, post, not boot). When it does POST, everything works 100% perfect...

I only have this computer, so I don't have any spare parts to interchange and test. I'm going to return the GPU, but I wonder if I should return the PSU...?

I have a big GPU problem. It's a ATI4870, brand new system. Everything worked fine (games on max settings etc), and then I ran folding@home. After about 5 minutes, the system completely shuts down....

I just found half the problem: My case doesn't have any internal speakers.
What should I do to find out what the problem is? Without the beeps, I can't diagnose, and I don't have any spare parts...

Basically, the system has never run. I still haven't seen the Bios.

Personally, I wouldn't think it is heat related, because it usually takes the POST 3-10 seconds to...
