I dont think there is any such stability or compatibility problem. Firefox is very light compared to the default Internet explorer you having on your computer so there wont be any compatibility...

It is too hard to tell a solution or explanation for this problem since we don’t have much information about the Windows server 8 Beta. It is still not a full version and there is probably few bugs...
