    Processing Features

The visual presentation of the LG Optimus HUB smartphone is timelessly chic in glossy black color. The Optimus hub can still be described as a flatterer among smartphones with its forms, as most of the other phones are much larger in their dimensions. The surface quality is made up of shiny plastic. With dimensions of 113.4 x 60.8 x 11.9mm and weighing in at only 120 grams it sits perfectly in any hand. The TFT display with a 3.5-inch screen displays 262,000 colors at a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels which is very sharp. The battery compartment cover of Optimus hub is made of plastic and can be opened by lifting, closed and sits perfectly. The package includes a manual, headset, charger, 2GB memory card and a USB cable.

    2. Camera quality - The depth of color and dynamics in low light conditions must not be criticized immediately. On the PC screen it is quite disappointing rather, since we discovered that colors were not quite as strong, and unfortunately the focus is easing. For a 5 MP camera it is still acceptable and good. Also, the shutter lag takes a little time. At dusk and/or at night it cannot achieve good results, unfortunately, because there was no flash.

    3. Video Camera Equipment - Color Effect: Off, Black & White, Negative, Sepia, water; camera settings: make default again, White Balance: Auto, indoor, cloudy, fluorescent, cloudy, Video Quality: High (30m), Low (30m), MMS, YouTube, select a camera: back, front, post-processing options: Share: SMS / MMS, YouTube, Gmail, Email, Bluetooth, delete; start, fast forward, pause, stop details: title, type, file size, taken on / around, album, City.

    4. Video Quality - An authentic representation of the colors. But under normal lighting conditions or indoors, the colors remain somewhat in intensity. The adaptation to different lighting conditions, is managed by the Optimus hub with acceptable weight-age. If you make very quick or jerky movement, you will see small pixelation. In the darkness nothing can be achieved, unfortunately, as a video light is missing.

    5. Features of the built in music player - Forward, rewind, pause, stop, artist: Play all; albums: Play all; Title: Play All; Channels: recently added; Shuffle: enabled / disabled; Repeat: Current title is repeated, repetition is disabled, All tracks repeat; Search for "Song / Artist: Browser, Music, YouTube, too, also possible to play songs with the help of SmartShare on another device.

    6. Sound quality of music player - The loudspeaker is positioned on the front of the mobile phone. An equalizer or tone control is not pre-installed in the Optimus hub. Fine tuning cannot therefore be made unfortunately, while listening to songs that have too much bass.

    7. Radio yes/no, sound quality of radio - Channel store, listening through speakers, headset, volume, on/off, Auto Search, hide sender info, channel info display, channel edit, channel reset, reset all channels, 48 FM radio station names can be added. The menu of the radio is clear and not overwhelming. The selectivity depends on the adjustment of the antenna (headset / headphones) and should not come between any object in general.

    8. Memory Storage Capacity - 150 MB internal, expandable up to 32GB.

    9. Multimedia Results - The Optimus Hub camera does not have a separate camera release button and can only be operated by touch, but it has very useful settings and triggering is quite fast. The results of the 5 MP camera could convince with more sharpness and color depth it is properly handled. Although colors are realistic and not distorted, but not as intense as they are at the origin. The results of the video images is also quite good. If you avoid jerky movements, some useful results can be obtained. In the darkness it can not achieve good results, as a flash / video light was not built-in. The built-in MP3 player has a straight-forward and easy to operate menu. A headset is included, the Optimus Hub can also be used with standard headphones. A radio is also present, which scores points with 48 station presets and easy operation for the Optimus Hub. The LG has a 150 MB internal memory and can be expanded with a Micro SD memory card up to 32GB.

    Handling / Menus

    1. Contact Details, Handling, Menus and other Features - Depending on the application, the Optimus Hub can be also operated with one hand. Contact details (Google, SIM or phone) are quickly found, edited, or added, and a call can be performed easily. The display in direct sunlight or direct light can be still read fine, but the brightness of the display should be adjusted for same. The reaction of the touch screen is surprisingly very quick. The beautifully designed menu of Optimus Hub was equipped with usable menus. The main menu can be customized according to your needs, facilitating quick access to the selected item. Even at the home screen, desired apps can be easily fit. The 5 MP camera and the MP3 player can be operated very easily. The Optimus Hub can be expanded with Micro SD cards up to 32GB. A 2 GB memory card is already included in the box package. Creating your own folders and moving data is also very smooth.

    2. Message handling - To: Contacts, select group, subject to add, drop, attachments: images, record video, record video, video, record audio, audio, contacts date, slide show, insert smiley, All News More: Discard all messages, settings for voice and keyboard : Language select: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish, etc, select Input Method: LG keyboard, keyboard settings: keyboard layouts: QWERTY, phone keypad, voice, word suggestions, voice input; Tactile feedback: Feedback with music: on / off; feedback through vibration: on / off; leave messages such as SMS or e-mail with the LG E510 write fast; own dictionary.

    3. Results - The Optimus Hub, in our opinion, takes not much of a time to switch on. Running a phone call, adding contacts, as well as the readability of the display speak for the handy Optimus Hub. Messages on the 3.5-inch display in portrait or landscape format, can be written quickly with the QWERTY touch keyboard or other keyboard types. The menu has a nice style. The main menu has been spread over two pages. The Home screens can be easily equipped with self-selected shortcuts to the menu. The easy operation of the camera and the MP3 player are also significant. Memory cards up to 32GB can be accepted by Optimus Hub.

    Overall Conclusion

The LG Optimus Hub offers a very good and interesting features at a moderate market price. The touchscreen phone has scored with its chic and elegant appearance. The handy size and light weight can very well speak for it. The Optimus hub consists of a high-gloss plastic. The battery cover is also made up of plastic, it can be easily opened and closed. The 5 MP camera has no flash, but can still score with decent results in low light conditions. The sharpness and color depth, unfortunately losing in intensity, depends on the lighting conditions. The Home screens of the Optimus hub can be easily customized with different menu items in order to more quickly reach the desired application. The internal music player has a nice visual presentation, easy to use and gives solid sound quality. The loudspeaker was positioned at the front excluding an equalizer. The radio, with its ease of operation, can be preset with 48 station. The renaming of the frequency by entering the station name is unfortunately not possible. The 3.5-inch display on the web page design is surprisingly fast and is well represented. Whether in portrait or landscape mode, a correct visibility is guaranteed. Separate multiple email accounts are set quickly and emails can be easily downloaded and are great to read. The response of the touch screen is extremely smooth. In its price range, it is worth a mobile phone to be in the buying list.
