    Cisco RV180 VPN Router

Cisco RV180 VPN Router is one of the available affordable solutions @ $129.99. If you talk about the performance in network connectivity then it offers you more than that. A VPN router allows managing and controlling more than one office and especially for higher number of employees. VPN router offers you world class features to make and manager your network. If we talk about a VPN router then it means you need a composite pack of features and performance. Just having tons of features are not beneficial. For example for a network of around 60 to 80 pc around the world needs a suitable option to manage and control the data flow? Going for third party service can be costly contract. What companies can do is setup a group of skilled employees which can manage the entire network. That would be cheaper solution and also effective. Your data does not go in other hands. Cisco RV180 VPN Router is designed to give high performance. Compared to the regular routers the Ethernet port is more advance to give higher transfer rate. The day to day business process is obstructed by a poor technology implementation.

It has become a life line of every network. We might not directly involve in the technology used in our business but somehow in future you can plan to expand. This expansion needs better resources and latest updated technology that can handle your day to day operations. Like VoIP. This is used by various companies to contact and help their consumers. In that case, companies spend an extra amount to buy and setup the best hardware. Along with performance another important thing that matters is security. So here the cost is divided into two parts. First getting a high speed connection and second security that controls user’s access. You will not like that your confidential information is leaked outside and reach in other hands. Cisco RV180 VPN Router gives you 50-50 benefit of both. You do not need to worry about the speed and also you do not need to think much about security. At affordable price you can not only manage text data but also control rich media content which needs good transfer rate. Along with good transfer ration for security you have IP Security. This feature comes in ample of new routers. Called as IPSec. In this you can use an encrypted connection to protect your data transfer over IP network. It is far more secure because you block unwanted connection at source. There are number of different terms involved here. IPSec is not just one single thing that works by turning it on.

It protects the data from origin, it manages data encryption, it checks for network level authentication, etc. The one which is easy to configure in Windows Server 2008. You control the behavior of the same and use Firewall at the same time. This does not means IPSec works only with Firewall. You can use them separately as per your need. Called as IP Security. The security layer works on the network and controls the communication process. The layer where data travels passes through the set of protocols used in this. So here, your data needs to be authenticated before reaching your network. For virtual private network this is one of the most suitable solutions. Because in VPN the user access the network via remote connection. So there are chances that the pc where users are accessing your network can have some kind of infection. Those are thus blocked and do not reach inside your system. Another important thing of implementing IPSec, that you do not require to make any changes to your end user system. No need to add any application or hardware. Now I will provide a bit more highlight on the router features.

    Re: Cisco RV180 VPN Router

As I said already that the router is affordable with high data transfer rate and IPSec. Another thing that it offers is a powerful firewall. The firewall comes integrated with the router which is an important aspect of good router. You cannot rely on software level security support unless it is completely effective. There are chances when your system is down or system might expose to risk. Integrated firewall, and authentication criteria if managed on the hardware level, guarantees more security. It is best for the sensitive business data. One more thing that I will like to highlight here about the router is configuration. I had found ample of decision just changes on configuration point. If I own a pc of 40-50 and manages some important client data, then I might stay happy with my current settings. Adding up a new hardware and then configuring the security settings will create lot of doubts. This is common for those who do not have a dedicated IT Dept. At this point Cisco RV180 VPN Router helps you a lot with easy to use configuration settings.

There is wizard mode setup. Means you can read the screen instruction and configure the router with ease. You do not need to be technically very strong on this. You just need to understand the terms which you are configuring. It is better if Cisco can help use to get a demo of router login online. So that a user can test how he configures and manages all the settings. It does not matter what business you do. If it is pure text based data processing or rich media content, you need a powerful tool to handle regular operations. Also the security features must be enough complex to meet day to day needs. This is where performance matters. You need a powerful tunnel here which is only for your network. No outsider can enter that. Our pc gets easily attacked by malware and spyware.

At this point this malicious applications lies quietly in your system. They are designed to collect your data and send that to remote locations. The complex security on Cisco RV180 VPN Router is made to deal with this stuff. It will not affect your data bandwidth, but on the same hand it will control all intrusion. Because high performance Ethernet port, it is much easier to connect as many pc as you want. You can easily navigate to remote pc and contact your workers. It is actually meant for a small area network. I will not recommend if you have a very big network around the world. For that there are higher end routers available. The router comes with 4 Port connections. You can hook up your network device on that and keep a central point for your data backup also. Along with companies access you can set a virtual network for anonymous users. Under this you can keep the anonymous login separately and your authenticated business users separately. The LAN port is capable of giving you maximum 1000mbps transfer rate depend on needs.
