Lenovo’s ThinkPad X130e: Laptop for Students

Lenovo has announced a new laptop under the ThinkPad X series title for students group. ThinkPad X130e laptop is a better performer for all age group of students. This is surely something Lenovo plans to dedicate the system to a group. This group consists of those who are studying or either belongs to non profit group. That does not mean that the laptop might be low in hardware. It is equipped with latest Intel Core i Series CPU which had already rocked the market. Lenovo ThinkPad X130e is equipped with Intel Core i3-2367M CPU processor. It is stable and enough capable of handling all day to day task. ThinkPad X130e system other than is equipped with AMD Fusion E-300 APU (optional), providing extra ram and processing power to deal with enhanced graphic quality. It is a netbook with regular usb and dual monitor support. Not adding too much in the design it’s a simple netbook with glossy cover finish allows you to choose some number of customizable colors. The laptop is quiet tough which has ability to absorb shock. This gives independence of carrying the laptop at every location. At price of $469 it seems to have a netbook on the costly list. But at some points it is quiet necessary to consider the system. There are other more manufacturers who have released a dedicated range of system for group of people, which can be commercial and non-commercial.

Non commercial version is not robust. They are made of lighter material and the cost does vary. While commercial system has better quality hardware with enhanced operating system and design that increases the cost. ThinkPad X130e laptop is somewhat combination of both. It does not mean that the laptop cannot be used for your business you can. Equipped with rubber cover over the top allows the laptop to get easy escape for shocks. It is really tough to fit a higher hardware configuration in a laptop. The reason is less space and thinness which does not leaves any space for better hardware. So the companies try to make special hardware like a small hdd providing a storage space of 320GB inside a 1.29 inch chassis. Under such limitations (for ultraportable) there is a vast reduction in the performance. Also the getting a high end CPU which doesn’t easily angry on continuous work is quiet difficult to arrange. Lenovo’s ThinkPad X130e is somewhat a solution for all this stuff. The screen size is 11.6" widescreen which is enough to view or read any content on any resolution. The laptop is much lighter so that is does not become hard to carry. Right now the model comes with an Intel Core i3 CPU, an AMD fusion APU, around 320/500 GB hard drive and 8 GB ram support. I found this hardware a much better combination of netbook. It just put more cost on the storage upgrade. Built for best needs. Battery power stays to 8.5 hours which can be enough for outdoor works.

    Design

The design of Lenovo's ThinkPad X130e is not so different in comparison to ThinkPad X120e. There are better curves and it is more compatible in size. Similar to other system, I will not say that is entirely different. No it is similar. The design of Lenovo's ThinkPad X130e is not so different in comparison to ThinkPad X120e. There are better curves and it is more compatible in size. Similar to other system, I will not say that is entirely different. No it is similar. Compared to other, this laptop has rubber finish rough body. So mums do not need to worry not give an expensive laptop on kid’s hands. Do not really believe the design so super safe, but a bit robust to deal with everyday shocks as people belonging to that group are more carefree.

    Connectivity

ThinkPad X130e is equipped with 1 vga and 1 hdmi video output you can easily configure the same with your dual monitor to display presentation on a bigger screen. Other than it has a media card reader and usb support. An additional LAN port to connect the netbook on shared network. There is nothing much to deal with the connectivity.

    Conclusion

Here I was hoping more in the size, if the laptop is so light what can cost more to get a bit bigger size. 11.6 inch makes a very small screen when you are viewing a long page or widescreen sites with diagrams. That hides some part and it becomes a bit irritation to use the touchpad for scrolling. This cannot be taken under the negative point. This is just a usage concept. Right now, it can be counted in the list of most powerful netbooks in the market. There is nothing much to say about here. If you are looking for an ultraportable system that can support your games and fulfill your multimedia needs, then this is the right machine. Those are wants more can ask for customization.

Lenovo ThinkPad X130e is an easy to handle and quiet comfortable system which offers you more than an ebook reader or other netbooks. The hardware configuration is based on the today’s needs. So you are not just limited to use only document processor or web surfing, but you can play games and work with your multimedia files also.
