Introduction:
A little over a year after the release of X3 Nokia, the Finnish manufacturer is expanding its offering entry-level devices and offers us his successor, the X3-02. Equipped with a physical keyboard and a touchscreen Symbian S40 phone this new range incorporates the "Touch and type" of Nokia. Targeting young users wishing to acquire a dynamic and versatile low-cost terminal, the Nokia X3-02 provides a uniform technical and quite promising on paper, especially for a phone called "entry level". A test was therefore necessary to measure actual abilities of the new model of the Finnish manufacturer.
Before detailing the performance of the beast, let's look briefly to the contents of the box which comes in the Nokia X3-02. They include:
- A USB transfer cable
- AC charger
- A stereo headset
- A battery
- A leaflet
So a very classic case in which there is still lack of a microSD memory card. It really would not have been refused, since the X3-02 Nokia embarks than 65 MB of internal memory. Suffice to say that music lovers will find themselves very quickly to close. For the rest, all the accessories seem well made and trimmed for a long-term use.
Design and finishes:-
The Nokia X3-02 features a clean design and very ergonomic, symbolized by its light weight (it shows only 94 grams on the scale) and small size (10.6 x 4.8 x 1 cm). The new terminal of the Finnish manufacturer will therefore be forgotten in any pocket and you will in most of your shipments. It has a touch screen LCD of 2.4 inches (240 x 320 pixels), which is not breathing strength, since the set is still quite fragile and not very pleasant to the touch. Pixels are indeed very quickly apparent when the pressure is somewhat depressed. Nothing very reassuring at first then. Below the touchscreen we find the physical keyboard and four hotkeys (win, messaging, MP3 player and hook). On the top of the phone are located 3.5 mm jack and micro USB. Note that the latter is devoid of cash, which may cause inconvenience to the accumulation of dirt and dust. Staying on the edges of the keys to the standby screen and volume control system. Nokia has clearly not considered appropriate to charge them more, since we do not find a dedicated button on the camera. We must therefore go through the menus to access the tool Photographic X3-02. On the back of the terminal found the 5-megapixel sensor, where there is again an absence, that of an LED flash.
