Result of extensive research conducted by professional photographers, the Nikon Coolpix P7000 delivers exceptional results in a format less intimidating than a reflex. The superb image quality of the Nikon Coolpix P7000 is supported by a zoom Nikon wide-angle lens with a 7.1x focal range of between 28 and 200 mm (24x36 format) system with optical vibration reduction (VR), two ED glass and the new system of treating Nikon EXPEED image C2. It is the successor to the Coolpix P6000. He released over a year and a half, it was a good product, but not enough to overshadow the champion of the time, the Canon PowerShot G10. Since then, Canon has transformed that success by releasing a tremendous G11 and Nikon seemed asleep.

    HD Video

If Full HD is not yet placed on our experts compact (Canon G11 VGA, LX5 Panasonic 720p) video mode P7000, which is also 720p at 24 fps, offers some significant advantages such as:
    • The availability of optical zoom while recording video
    • The sound in stereo (when many reflex HD offer only mono sound)
    • The ability to connect an external microphone,
    • The filter to reduce wind noise,
    • HDMI output
    • The ability to extract a picture from a video

    Multipurpose lens:-

Nikon makes the segment expert cons-up of its competitors that offer modest optical amplitude. Here, the P7000 offers a 7x zoom 28-200mm equivalent opening which is still generous enough to its range: F / 2.8 to 5.6. It is naturally stabilized optically image stabilization enhanced by the digital system which recalculates the image based on detected movement. Like on the Panasonic LX5, the Nikon P7000 offers 7 preset zoom to achieve an equivalent fixed focal length of a double shot zoom ring. We can reproduce a 28-35-50-85mm focal length and these are easily programmable for two different users. Serious in its optical design, the objective of the P7000 incorporates two ED glass elements and four spherical elements. It helps to take stock of about 2cm wide angle in macro mode.

    Built in ND filter:-

This is a first and stakeholders appreciate: The objective of P7000 includes a neutral density filter that darken the image 3EV demand. Placed in ambush in the target outside the optical path, it goes down when you are seeking to create effects on a cascade yarn or velvety the waves of the sea for example, but also, in some cases, to compensate Minimum aperture of the iris diaphragm of only F/8. This finding is attractive and strengthens the hand "expert" of the Coolpix P7000.

    Nikon P7000 shooting:-

The Nikon Coolpix P7000 is designed for users who want complete control over the shot, thanks to the intuitive layout of buttons and wheels borrowed from the Nikon digital SLRs, like the control dial and buttons AE-L/AF-L. The Nikon P7000 is also equipped with a wheel "retro analog" to control the levels of exposure compensation in increments of 1 / 3 EV. Manual adjustment of the most frequently used is available through dial access quickly. An adjustment feature allows user to toggle the zoom position on a predetermined focal length, as if it were interchangeable lenses. The settings for each zoom position can also be tailored to user needs. In parallel, the function selection fixed focal length allows you to move from a push of a focal length to another using a new mode selector to manual.

    Compact Design Nikon Coolpix P7000:-

Hotspot of a subsystem, the Nikon Coolpix P7000 is compatible with i-TTL Nikon Speedlights winning, a new wide-angle converter WC-75A equivalent to 21 mm and an infrared remote control ML-L3. The Nikon Coolpix P7000 also comes with software ViewNX 2, an MH-24 charger and a long-term EN-EL14. The device can also be equipped with an external microphone (not supplied by Nikon). To protect the unit, a carry bag option is also available (CS-P06).

    Resolution of the Coolpix P7000:-

Canon As did last year with the passage of G10 G11 , Nikon backtracked on the plan of resolution with a large sensor (1 / 1 , 7 ) which passes from 15 to 10 megapixels. This, with the power of the new EXPEED processor C2 can fetch higher sensitivities ( ISO 3200 ) peacefully. An additional mode achieves ISO 6400 at full resolution before going to 3 -megapixel, ISO 12800 . The large size of the sensor will also more easily control the fuzzy background , with the help of the iris diaphragm .

    Internal edit function:-

The editing function of the Nikon Coolpix P7000 Internal users can control their images. The intensity information are displayed on a histogram. Exposure compensation, aperture, shutter speed and ISO sensitivity can be adjusted with precision while confirming the areas of high light, shadow and midtones. For users who prefer to make corrections on a PC or Mac, images can be saved in NRW + (Coolpix RAW) extended, which creates a "negative" uncompressed digital operations to facilitate advanced editing. + NRW files are compatible with the software and Nikon ViewNX 2 with image editing software Optional Capture NX2.

Let's see if with this release recovers Nikon gained market Canon Powershot G10 with G11, and Panasonic with their LX5 . This model has been two years after the disappointment of 14MP P6000 , always with a quality far below their competitors.

Re: Nikon Coolpix P7000 Digital Camera

    Camera expert, refined ergonomics

The fundamental difference between a lambda and a compact model is essentially an expert in three areas: ergonomics suitable for walkouts manuals, greater robustness and management of RAW files - the "digital negative". The body is dark, austere and many dials are present to facilitate access to functions - bracketing, exposure compensation, etc.

Note the presence, inside the optical unit, a neutral density filter 3EV which limits the amount of light entering the camera and can do so for long exposures nets (water, cars, etc.) Nikon has even thought to incorporate two customizable buttons and a virtual horizon (H and V).

A microphone jack on a compact!

If the camera does not film in HD - only the1000 Canon Ixus is capable among compact - it is however one of the first, if not the first to have a compact external microphone jack. If the quality is by appointment, this could be the device of choice for independent reporters.
