    DELL LATITUDE D630 Review

    DELL LATITUDE D630

    The Dell offers a very simple design and especially a very good build quality, logical thing for a pro range. It features an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 (2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB, 4MB Cache), and hosts a barrette of 512 MB of DDR2. For storage we find a classic hard disk 80 gigas, running at 5400 rpm. At the display, we have a 15.4 "Wide, offering a resolution of 1440 x 900, all being associated with a GMA X3100, due to the presence of the Santa Rosa platform.

    The equipment consists of a DVD-DL, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, Firewire 4 USB, a biometric reader, 1 PC Card Slot and Smart Card Slot, port dock, release Audio , VGA and a serial input, the card reader is missing cons.
    Everything is fairly complete, with a weight of 3.00 kg with the 9 cell battery option. In practice, if we respect his pro use, the Dell is doing well in all situations, even if his lack of memory is a handicap, especially with a configuration based on Vista. The addition of 512 MB is almost mandatory. The screen behaves well and the silence of the machine is also a plus. For autonomy, the 630 is doing well for the year with 5 h 15, which is really more than reasonable.

    DELL LATITUDE D360 ATG Review

    DELL LATITUDE D360 ATG

    The fully configurable Latitude D630 ATG can come pre-loaded with new Windows Vista or Windows XP to suit your business needs. IT decision-makers will appreciate the optional encrypted or solid-state* hard drives, along with D-family peripheral commonality. Users will appreciate the multiple graphics cards options, and the added productivity boost of the optional brighter WXGA panel.

    Short Description :
    Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.4 GHz, 2048 MB RAM, 120 GB hard drive, 14.1 inch screen, PC or Mac?: PC Processor Type: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz Internal Memory (RAM) : 2048 MB Hard Disk: 120.0 GB.

    It is also equipped with all those product and services that comes with Dell Latitude D630. Refer Dell Latitude D630 for more details. This machine has been an amazing companion since the day I bought it. Mine is configured with 3 GB of RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 and Windows 7 Ultimate (which it runs great by the way). I would recommend this laptop to anyone who can afford it, and those who can't should save up. The ONLY cons that I could find in this laptop were listed above, other than of course having the preboot authentication set, forgetting the password, and losing a finger or two, then you're kinda screwed. But call Dell and verify your identity and they will unlock it for you. This is by far the most superior laptop I've ever worked on, in all aspects, and I would be comfortable recommending it to almost anyone.

    Positive Points :

    * Most secure laptop I have ever worked on
    * Very fast (if properly configured)
    * Very upgradable
    * Very durable
    * Very reliable
    * Excellent battery life (9 cell)
    * Excellent warranty service (I'm a Dell ASP)

    Negative Points :

    * No memory card reader
    * Screen is still a bit dim (after upgrading from D620).

    For feature details refer to DELL LATITUDE D360

    APPLE MACBOOK AIR Review

    APPLE MACBOOK AIR

    Like the iPhone in its time, the MacBook Air has been rampant rumors some of which will eventually be proven true, starting with the presence of a large touch pad controls Picking up on the character of multipoint contact the first mobile phone from Apple. Others, such as the presence of a touchscreen, or integration into a standard disk drive to flash memory on a machine with less than 1,000 dollars (sic!) Are unsurprisingly ignored. Now that the first models of the MacBook Air is distributed by Apple, it's time to leave the speculation to look closely at this machine with which the Cupertino company opens a new segment of its offer in terms of phones.

    With a screen diagonal of 13.3 inches, the MacBook Air has similar dimensions than the MacBook, except that its thickness does not exceed 1.94 cm at its lowest point late in the rear. Like its predecessor, it presents a wide keyboard with keys spaced a webcam integrated into top cover and the latest version dated house operating system, Mac OS X "Leopard". Aesthetically, that's about where the similarities stop between the MacBook and the MacBook Air since it leaves the white (or black) in favor of an anodized coating of metallic paint, similar to that found on the MacBook Pro. In its basic version, with a Core 2 Duo and Intel signed 1.6GHz, the MacBook Air is equipped with 2 GB of RAM in the form of strips soldered to the motherboard, controllers, Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11 n, and a 80GB hard drive in 1.8-inch display a rotation speed of 4200 revolutions per minute.

    On balance, the MacBook Air shows a little less than 1.4 Kg, which is a priori into the ultraportable category. Some will argue that with its 13.3-inch diagonal size of the MacBook Air is excluded from this category which generally classified machines 12 inches and less, but it is clear that the transports without slightest inconvenience. Bag or backpack perfectly adapt themselves of a MacBook Air placed in a protective cover, and you can easily squeeze his computer in the boot of a scooter, even in the glove box of a car, even if these two operations are not particularly recommended for those wishing to keep a machine in perfect condition.

    Positive Point :
    It has some advantages however: a powerful processor (Penryn 1.6 or 1.8 GHz), an LED screen of 13.3 inches, a very good integration and a measured weight: only 1.36 kilograms. The thickness (between 4 mm and 1.9 cm) is obviously impressive, but no optical drive. It has the power of a true portable as the MacBook in a model much thinner and smaller. The illuminated keyboard, multitouch trackpad is fine, but it does not compensate for problems.

    Negative Points :
    The 1.8-inch HDD of 80GB Apart from capacity, it only works 4 200 rpm. It's very embarrassing for the performance. The SSD option is very nice, but $ 999 for 64 GB Connection is absolutely ridiculous: no Ethernet (29 € option), no Firewire, no ExpressCard, not of audio input. A single USB port, a mono speaker, a video output in an exotic format (Fortunately, Apple provides adapters). If price was the lack of endorsement, either. But at $ 1 800 base is really too much.
