Striking a perfect balance between ease-of-use and powerful features, it puts better pictures at your fingertips.Although it’s a basic black-bodied DSLR, the new Sony has a few more curves and more attractive surface textures than usual. It’s definitely a nice refresh compared to earlier models, which were basically modified Konica-Minoltas. It is equipped with 10.2 megapixel DSLR camera with a 2.7-inch LCD screen that tilts up or down so you can capture great photos at any angle.

Its LCD display tilts up or down for low or high-angle shooting situations, such as capturing a child's first steps or shooting over a crowd.Overall, it looks good. It measures 5 inches wide, 3.8 tall and 2.8 deep, weighing 26.8 ounces with the battery. The Sony A330 also comes with a new graphical display which makes things easy without worrying about apertures and shutter speeds. The A330’s mode dial lets you choose instantly from six Scene Selection options. re: Sony Alpha DSLR-A330 Digital Camera

With Sony Alpha DSLR-A330, an HDMI terminal gives you the option of connecting your camera to a compatible HDTV and playing back your images in stunning high definition quality. You can also frame photos on the camera’s LCD screen as well as in the optical viewfinder with Sony’s Quick Autofocus (AF) Live View technology.

There are also the usual DSLR controls here as well, including menu, exposure compensation, function, delete, playback, along with a four-way controller. With it, you can quickly adjust the ISO, flash, display, self timer/burst mode and focus type. Surprisingly, white balance isn’t here – you access it via the function key.Through the use of a dedicated image sensor, Quick AF Live View maintains the rapid response of a DSLR, while avoiding the focus delay common to other live view systems. In addition, BRAVIA Sync works with compatible Sony BRAVIA HDTVs to let you control camera playback using the television's remote.

The LCD on the Alpha 330 can be tilted up or down, making it easy to frame your subject from high or low positions, otherwise difficult to see using an eye-level viewfinder. The range of adjustment has been increased from their predecessors, making it even easier to get shots from difficult angles.

The range of adjustment has been increased from their predecessors, making it even easier to get shots from difficult angles. There’s a key that engages a “smart” digital zoom , and a power on/off ring surrounding the shutter button. The new A330 include dedicated slots for high-capacity Memory Stick PRO Duo, Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo and SD/SDHC media. With the battery charged and a 2GB SDHC card in place, it was time to start clicking. With this camera, Sony has added online guides to describe the different features, and provides more contextual displays for the settings like shutter speed and aperture. The Help Guide offers clear, concise explanations of various modes and settings, while the Graphic Display helps you understand the relationship between aperture and shutter speed, as well as the effect each has on photographic results.

The Alpha 330 can be tilted up or down, making it easy to frame your subject from high or low positions, otherwise difficult to see using an eye-level viewfinder. The viewfinder is OK, with decent coverage but viewfinder will look a bit smaller than both thanks to the lower magnification factor and it has a slower burst frame rate. Where the A330 really shines is Live View.In Live View, it shoots only two frames per second, or 2.5 using the viewfinder. This is below the 3.4 FPS of the 15MP T1i, and the 4 of the Olympus E-620. If you’re hot to freeze action, this camera might not be your best option.

re: Sony Alpha DSLR-A330 Digital Camera

    Pros:

    • Tiltable 2.7-inch LCD

    • Top-notch Live View

    • Very good, accurate photos

    • Compact, light, nicely-styled body

    Cons:

    • 2.5 fps, less than competitors

    • White balance should be more accessible

    • Digital noise noticeable above 800

    • Mechanical noise noticeable all the time

    Conclusion

Every thing is fine with Sony Alpha DSLR-A330 except the noisy that it makes while capturing the image.i think it is very difficult to beat the live beat of this camera but the burst mode is less than the competition, and the camera is definitely noisy, as the mirror mechanism clunks along when you’re firing away. There is no Optical image stabilization, Focal length, Supports conversion lenses and Movie mode.
