    Why do I need DVDShrink?

Most DVDs are designed to prevent you from making copies.

The first preventative measure is encryption. Commercial DVD titles are often encrypted, which prevents you from either copying them to your hard drive, or if you manage to do so, being able to play the resulting files. DVDShrink overcomes this problem with built-in decryption algorithms.

The next problem is not so easy. Most DVD video titles are simply too large to fit, without modification, onto a single recordable DVD-R disk. DVDShrink overcomes this problem by compressing or "shrinking" the data from your original DVD.

DVDShrink also allows you to re-author your DVD. You can make your own compilation from one or more source DVDs, or select only the parts of a DVD which you intend to view, thus preserving more space on your backup for the highest quality viewing.

Last but not least, why use DVD Shrink? Because DVDShrink is free.

    Where do I get DVDShrink?

DVDShrink is freeware. However, due to a number of limitations and facts, we are not allowed to host it here.

    Re: DVD Shrink 3.2

DVDShrink is a DVD copying software to get backups on DVD or hard drive with just a few clicks. Original DVDs store a lot more information than the blank recordable DVDs that are available, usually 6 to 9 Gb, compared to 4.3 Gb of a blank. DVDShrink's primary function is to compress the data on a DVD, such that it will fit onto a standard recordable DVD. It preserves all existing DVD contents including menus, trailers, previews, subtitles, full spectrum stereo, and 5.1 surround with DTS or Dolby Digital. DVDShrink also allows you to identify parts that you don't want or don't need on the backup disc. If you only speak English, you can remove the French, Spanish, German etc. audio files, and also the subtitles for those nations. Different audio types can also be decided upon, allowing you to select between 2-channel stereo, or Dolby 5.1 surround sound. If you don't mind losing some of the audio experience this can be a great way to save space for better quality video.

This product also provides a preview function, which will display video preview (thumbnails) while backing up your movie. You can adjust the target sizes of your DVD duplicate. It supports a broad range of DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW (including double layer) burners.

Version 3.0.24 includes support for Windows Vista.

    Advantages :

DVDShrink has large abilities compression. It is fast, effective and its user friendliness becomes we all users (beginners or pro) runs it without problems. It has large baking UP options and functions. One of the few its kind, with that the material work on you you them up. From sub-title menus, can keep or get rid you, what is not necessary. RH-Authoring do not save time. They receive also the possibility for burning with Nero now.

    Disadvantages :

But at the same time, the recreant doesn't seem to be that useful, you can do everything you have done by Re-Create in Backup. Except that I can not find anything wrong with it. It 's still a great program.

    The Truth :

To my opinion, he is the champion in charge of its field. There are many reasons for which this program must be had on your computer. Besides free being, fast and effective, it is easy to use, it has a clean interface and you will receive the carried out job. If you have not still used, than then it is its loss. You take this boy while it is still free.
