    Nokia N810 Internet Tablet

    Hi,

The new Nokia N810 is the latest in the companies series of Internet Tablets after N770 & N800. It has a number of new features & its first to come with slide-out keypad. The phone is 4mm slimmer than the N800. The N800 is 226g just a bit heavy than the N800 which is 206g.
The screen resolution is 800 X 480. The slide-out keypad is definitely very impressive since it is really good while typing text & long URLs.
It has a browser based on mozilla technology & has adobe flash 9 plugin. You can enjoy all web 2.0 sites. Flash games & Videos also loads quite well on a wireless LAN connection. The phone is really best for internet communication.

N810 improves on its N800 predecessor by offering a handful of new functions, GPS receiver, and stylish slider design that includes a QWERTY keyboard. Although not aimed squarely at the average consumer, the N810's hardware still carries some serious mainstream appeal. Although much of the N810's navigation can be done with the touchscreen, an assortment of hardware buttons and other physical features are also present to make using the device fairly intuitive and flexible.

This got much smaller than the last one, and really quite slim considering the keyboard!
    N800: 144x75x13-18mm, 206g
    N810: 128x72x14mm, 226g
    +a faster processor (400 instead of 330MHz)
    +still 2 SD card slots
    +apparently much nicer UI
+GPS, which makes a lot of sense for that device
    +better battery life

    User Interface

OS2008 maintains the same layout and general functionality of OS2007 but is undeniably prettier and better optimized for the finger.
In the task navigator column on the left are new icons corresponding to the same feature set (web browser at the top, contacts in the middle, applications at the bottom) that open finger-friendly cascading menus that can be personalized to suit individual preferences. Applets and the row of status indicators have also carried over from OS2007, though they too sport an updated look and some additional functionality.
Even though many applications can be, and have been, created for its Linux-based OS, basic functions like instant messaging still require someone to find and install third-party applications. It would have been great if Nokia gave it more functionality out of the box.

    Nokia internet tablet memory
The Nokia N810 offers 2GB of internal memory. About one third of the internal memory is reserved for navigation software, which leaves you sufficient memory to store your music, videos and pictures. If the internal memory does not suffice, you can enhance it with a miniSD memory card. The Nokia N810 supports memory cards up to 8GB and in the future higher storage capacities will be supported automatically or through an update.

    The bottom line:
Though not necessarily worth the price for an upgrade, the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet brings some nice additions to the mobile Web browsing device, including a full QWERTY keyboard and integrated GPS.
