Cooler master hyper N520

Cooler Master Hyper
Looking at budget and cooler size would prefer Cooler Master Hyper N520 .The question then is immediately asked: "How well it cools the Hyper N520". That we now find out by this cooler to install on a Core i7 920 processor.

Cooler Master
"Back to basics," says the manufacturer. A low price for a good and solid product. Yet we Tech Zine that the cooler is very similar to competing models such as those of Arctic, ASUS and Thermaltake even.

The first reactions to the condenser are very flattering and people are surprised by the fan. A fan on a lot of heat S1366 should wear the Core i7 will be his top rated at 130w which have a large portion is converted into heat. In addition to the S1366 supports Hyper N520 the following sockets:
  • Intel Socket (LGA1366 / LGA775);
  • socket (LGA 771 Skull Trail);
  • AMD Socket (AM2 + / AM2 / 940 / 939 / 754).

For the less price you get not only cooler, but all confirm clips. You almost do not believe that's all for this price.

Installation

For the installation you must remove the motherboard from your case. The cooler is using a back plate and four screws put on the motherboard. There are better solutions such as push-pin, but we are convinced that this Cooler Master has done for a reason. Probably the cooler better performance when it is firmly screwed. For most people, the cooler no compatibility problems, the device is not large and will therefore easily fit into a standard ATX case.

A pushpin installation is easier than the installation

Cooling Performance

Test Software

The programs used for testing are:
  • Linx;
  • Real Temp 2.70;
  • TurboV.

During the tests we use the Link to the processor up on the subject. The program is widely used.

While testing the voltage to increase or Bclk increase was included motherboard program. The program, which bears the name TurboV, runs from Windows and saved me a lot of boots. Last but not least, we use Real Temp 2.70, which was used to the temperatures to read. The program is suitable for the Core i7 is able to log to keep track and thus the temperature increase the register.

  • Processor : Intel Core i7 920
  • CPU cooler : Cooler Master, Asus, Noctua, Intel
  • Video : Asus 4870 1GB DK
  • Memory : 3GB Crucial PC3-8500
  • Hard Disk : 2x Samsung F1 640GB RAID0
  • Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe
  • OS : Windows Vista Ultimate

Core i7 920 @ 2.66 GHz [AUTO]

As is now usual, performance the coolers in idle mode almost identical. Here and there 's a slightly, but the big differences are visible only when the stress test Linx on. After five runs, the temperature is very different, but the N520 can perfectly match the Asus Triton 81.

Core i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz [1.275 V]

The twenty euro cost Triton 81, we view early this year have not performed well in comparison with the Cooler Master N520. Looking for a cheap cooler without too much problem, the Cooler Master N520 is really for you. In the above is the standard Intel cooler disregarded because it is the processor no longer able to cool during the testing.

Plus Points

  • Silent;
  • Cool sound;
  • Prize.

Downsides.
  • Installation

Conclusion

The Hyper N520 is available at most stores for a price of around 30 euros. In terms of price / performance spans Cooler Master with this cooler is the crown. Of course there are better coolers on the market, but you will pay attention immediately for the prize.Yes, the the installation is above average difficulty, but not something you worry about having to make. In short, lots for little!
