Samsung has once been joined by Armani on the team, and created a new design phone: Samsung Armani M7500 Night Effect. Unlike its predecessor, Emporio Armani P520, M7500 is a phone the man in the street can afford, with an acceptable price for Rs.20800.
Small and lightweight
M7500 is far from any fighting. With a thickness of 1.2 centimeters and a weight of 90 grams of small pockets should not be any obstacle. The phone is generally the same size as most other phones with the same specifications.
Everyone should know that Armani is in the Room
You will soon discover that the phone is designed to attract notice. On the left side you will find that small LED light that flashes Armani logo to those who had to be nearby when the phone rings.
The lights will flash in red, green or blue, and it's dim lighting in the premises it would be very hard to miss incoming messages or calls.
LED lights are the way, the reason why the phone has been given the name "Night Effect" if you would be in doubt about it.
If you think that flashing lights in bright colors are a bit harry, you can thankfully turn off this feature in the menus.
Music Keys and proper audio output
On this phone, Samsung has placed more useful details, such as dedicated keys for music playback and volume.
You can also find an audio output of the type of 3.5 mm, so that you can use your favorite headphones when listening to music. This alone can be a reason to look into this phone, as many manufacturers forcing you to use junky, supplied earbuds.
If you take the cover you'll find a slot for Micro SD memory card, so you can see more music, photos and other snacks. It adheres to a memory card with a capacity of 1 GB in the box.
You should wish to get more memory than this, you can get a card with 4 GB for under 8 hundred rupees.
Samsung also has a hidden port for Micro-USB under a plastic flap. This is used both for file transfer and for charging the phone.
And yes: You can charge the phone using a standard USB cable and a computer. Simple Pleasures in life call this phenomenon, which should never be underestimated.
Good build quality
When Samsung warehouse design phones, adding the great weight on qualifying it with feeling. M7500 has, admittedly, a cheap feel about it compared with the Bang & Olufsen phone and the previous Armani model, but still feels solid, and it hangs well together.
You also do away disobedient when clamps on the phone.
Number keys are completely flat, and there is no elaboration or else that distinguishes them from each other. This makes it tend to depress two keys simultaneously, and you must often look down on the keyboard when you type text messages.
Music keys also glow
The screen of the phone has been given a size of 2.2 inches, and has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. This gives a crisp and clean image, while you have completely ok overview of what you're doing.
The menu of the phone is easy to understand for themselves, so either experienced or fresh mobile users should have trouble navigating through to the desired functions. We noted, however, that the menus were somewhat "sticky" compared with the phones in the same class. Slow pace is not to irritate you over them, so unless you are extremely impatient so there is little to fear here.
Call quality is quite ok
As the most important feature for most people buy a mobile phone are call options, it is fine if the phone delivers good sound in the conversations. Sound quality in the M7500 can be best described as "all right", without being impressed. You do not separate from suse sounds in the background, but you will not have trouble hearing what is being said in the other end. Nor we spoke with during the test period had any complaints to servers.
But we've heard better than this, ie.
We like to think that we are using cell phone about as often as any other Indian, and with this consumption kept the battery out about two days before we had to charge the phone. Battery life is acceptable, but not more than that.
