HAF 932 Case from Cooler Master

The Newly arrived Cooler Master makes a good little while now. They have learned from their experiences and criticisms of their clients, HAF-932 would be the ultimate box? That is what we wanted to verify.

In this Article I have considered the Strong Points about the Cooler Master HAF-932 Case.

The Computex is an opportunity for Cooler Master to present its latest developments. The manufacturer describes as his stand on the HAF 932, a housing look rather simple and basic, which suddenly breaks with rounded buttons and tuning currently in vogue.

Three 200mm fans one in front, one on the side door and another on the upper.Apparently crazy for cooling, it will be possible to replace the 200mm by four 120mm on the side door.

Following are the details regarding COOLING SYSTEM of HAF932.

Opportunity to place a 240mm radiator in place of 200mm which is located on the upper side of CoolerMaster. Known for HAF High Air Flow, this model loads three 200 mm fans at the front, above and below the box and a 120 mm fan at the rear. The fan side may be replaced by four 92 mm against two for the top. The food can be placed at the bottom or top of the box. And the roof may also host a radiator cooling liquid passages for the pipes are present at the rear and top.

A small hatch is present on the basket of the motherboard for access to fixations hope that they correspond to dismantle large heatpipe without removing the motherboard.

All the editing is done without tools. Note the presence of four USB ports, one eSATA port, a FireWire port and audio ports on the front. Finally, CoolerMaster has had the good idea to leave an opening to support the motherboard that can change the sink without removing the motherboard. The housing CoolerMaster HAF 932 will be sold around 10,000 INR.

    Exterior

On the outside, industrial inspirations are beautiful and very present. The materials used are not particularly noble as steel, plastic and mesh comprises the HAF.

At the top of the facade we are all taken (USB (x4), FireWire, E-Sata and Audio) just their right, the LEDs indicating the start and hard drive activity. It occupies the space of a 5.25-inch bay.

Underneath, there are just six 5.25-inch bays, caches that mask consist of a plastic frame and covered with a mesh rather well-ventilated area that lies at the waist holes between S and Cosmos an Antec Nine Hundred.

And at the bottom of the facade is the huge 230mm fan illuminated in red. At its launch, it actually occupies the lower third of the facade. It is hidden by the mesh for the visible part, but also by the perforated plate if you remove the mesh. It is at the very discreet lighting.

The left side door, which provides access to components, is particularly worked. First on the lower right, the door is perforated to allow up to four 120mm fans arranged in a square but that is another 230mm fan that comes home at that location. This spring mesh slightly to about 1cm outside the box so that fans installed on the door does not impede the installation of large heatpipe.

Above the mesh, an acrylic window slightly smoke gives view inside the box. A grid is drawn over a little to recall some old windows. At the bottom right of vents have been willing to face hard drives. These refer vents to those used in industry caps on big machines. Finally, to finish just above the ventilation registration HAF is placed, it is only the reflection of light as it contrasts with the paint box mate. A word about the police writing, it looks like this on military gear applied with stencils.

The back of the box is marked by the two power pitches: a top, the other down, you can mount and how you like your power supply to be. The location will not remain vacant since empty cache with two passes pipes is provided for a possible watercooling.

The right side panel (the back of the motherboard) is relatively simple but promises much detail. The panel is curved in shape (no matter the form for that matter) to the precise location of the motherboard, this bodes good thing for the passage of all cables and their organization. Finally on this panel, found the same ventilation, given the hard drives on the left panel.

The bottom of the box is not left out, it starts to be a habit among manufacturers and that is good. The case rests on four feet mounted chrome round of origin but if you prefer to move your camera, four small wheels are provided in the bundle.

The power is perforated so that it benefits from fresh air if it has a 120mm fan. Similarly, a space of 120mm is available just outside the power supply but we'll see a little further you will not need.

The top box is composed of two thirds of mesh on the back, it hosts a 230mm fan in extraction (supplied). But it can also accommodate two 120mm fans and a third half-hidden (by the party can submit objects). But as the three fans are glued, once installed, you can also mount a simple radiator, 240 or 360mm for a possible watercooling without drilling any holes or cut any party.
The other third from the top looks a bit like the Antec Nine Hundred as it is a small place for filing objects. The difference is that it is possible to raise the bottom to fill a tank watercooling placed underneath, but it really Gadget. On the front two buttons: Power and Reset, take place.
Filling the tank through a hatch on top of the box, in my opinion it will have a reservoir of the mark for that to happen.

The HAF 932, which means HIGHT AIR FLOW, is a box with two complementary objectives: To ensure optimum cooling and propose a solution without a valid alternative for players who can at will cram all their configuration in the belly of the HAF 932.

With the HAF 932 or High Air Flow, Cooler Master offers a new box entirely for cooling, like the Cosmos S. The recipes are different, first in terms of style, but also in design. With the Cooler Master 932 HAF therefore proposes again to the big box ventilation and extremely ventilated through the adoption of metal mesh. The look is quite different from what the brand and HAF displays an air of resemblance to the housing Gamer Lian-Li, the G80. Indeed, this new model is necessarily square and very discreet, but its charm on us acting. The interest of this case lies more in its chassis with a sophisticated cable management and excellent ventilation which is based on three fan of 230 mm and 140 mm.

13.2 kg with the HAF is not a featherweight, and given its dimensions of 56.4 x 56.0 x 24.3 cm we understand better why this case is the grand tour format and is compatible with standard E-ATX. The board will make him 15.5 kg, because it includes protections for transportation, but also bundle the following: an installation instructions, 4 wheels, hardware, many necklaces, an extension 8 pin for the motherboard, and an adapter front for the converter 5.25 "to 3.5". Again Cooler Master has thought about the extension 8 pin, to bring this cable to the back shelf of the motherboard.

    The cabinet at its unpacking

This beautiful box on the balance weighs just under 13 kilos 500 grams, which does not put forth in the "super transportable" This is not an Antec Lanboy, also does not necessarily carry all weekend in a LAN

    interior
The interior space available is simply impressive. Indeed, when we have two places for food, the board feels comfortable.

The sign welcoming the motherboard is not removable but it is not really a defect since the space around the location of the motherboard is more than enough to work in good conditions.

An opening is also present at the bottom of the basket at the site for the motherboard, it actually allows to fix the radiators processor without removing the motherboard, simple idea but was there think.

The panel is also drilled around the motherboard to move the cables, there are holes across the top and bottom and large openings on the side.

Found in the upper right six 5.25-inch bays with the push-lock, just below the cage hard disks, which can accommodate up to five drives and they are stored perpendicular to the chassis.

Re: HAF 932 Case from Cooler Master

    Montage
First, the side panels are fixed by four screws hands: two screws each.

The motherboard and power supply is fixed with screws so as always screwdriver required for installation.

Optical drives are fixed through the push-lock system which is present in the mark for a while now. The principle: it removes the cache that is just snap, it dragged the drive, and you press the big button system, and now the drive is set. It is actually two small pins that will take place in the footsteps of screws to secure the player.

For hard drives is even easier, there are five drawers, they are clipped and once released, we must place the disk in the pins. Do not hesitate to twist the tray to achieve your goals. Note that the pins are in small systems with rubber to absorb vibrations.

For PCI, a latch is squarely back on the block for the release just to support it. This is very useful but on graphics cards seems a little lighter.

Finally, the cables or cable management in English is particularly well studied. The various openings around the motherboard and the power to place all the cables behind the basket without disturbing the closure of the side panel.
Small openings and setting allow all cables with plastic collars provided in the bundle.

    Breakdown
The cooling housing is provided by four fans supplied with the original box. On the menu, three 230mm fans turning 700tpm one of which is illuminated by red LEDs.

The fourth is a 140mm fan spinning at 1200tpm, it is located above the graphics card to output side of the motherboard.

Fresh air is drawn through a fan in front position and a second on the side door, two 230mm.

The extraction is provided by the 140mm and 230mm at the top of the box.

If the air flow you should not, it is possible to replace the 230mm of the door by four 120mm fans, to add a 120mm fan on the bottom of the box before feeding.

And finally, it is also possible to replace the 230mm fan of the top three 120mm fans arranged along the length of the box.

The space inside also allows editing of all major systems cooling time: Thermalright Ultra 120 or Cooler Master Hyper Z600 happening at home.

The integration of watercooling is also facilitate the HAF-932 is also one of its strengths. It is first possible to fix a radiator 120, 240 or 360mm unchanged.

    Results
To evaluate this case, we installed a complete setup. It is still the best way to test a box to realize the difficulties we may encounter when editing. The processor (Intel Core Quad Q6600 G0) is only cooled by the radiator from Cooler Master Hyper Z600 in passive fanless so.
Unfortunately, we could not raise the temperature of the hard drive as our eVGA 680i motherboard does not function SMART permitting.

For the record temperatures, we run the full setup in 3DMark demo mode with the loop for 2 hours, it can find a use similar to that of video games.

You can directly compare the results with Zalman GS1000 since the protocol is the same and tests were carried out simultaneously.

At a glance, one can say that the Cooler Master HAF-932 is well named, is truly the "High Air Flow" which cools the entire configuration to maintain our Intel Core Quad Q6600 unless 40 ° C after two hours of demo 3DMark 06.
The graphics card takes only 6 ° C longer support compared to the rest, although it is well supported by the Arctic Cooling Extreme.

It is said that with such performance, the box must be noisy, that's what we'll see.

To everyone's surprise, the box is not as noisy as what can be described as discreet. No need to regulate the fans, they turn slowly enough to be discreet and effective. 41.6 dB (A) at 50cm fan in front with a breakdown, a very good performance.

    Conclusion
Good general ventilation, no noise reckless, Cooler Master manages a real tour de force with the HAF-932.

The assembly is very pleasant, no black dot on the horizon. The cable is exemplary for the little that we wanted to tidy inside its box.

The only problem HAF-932 may be his look, however, writing, it has not shocked. It is indeed a case out of the ordinary but we must remember that the basis it was designed for the U.S. market. If Cooler Master was not released in Europe, we would have been the first disappointment.

To finish the HAF-932 box is very good with excellent ventilation, a cable management and a copy that look unusual.

Re: HAF 932 Case from Cooler Master

Nice casing and good to know that there's now the option in having the ability to remount or replace the HSF without actually removing the mobo. Superb PIXs you got there, I must say excellent ...
