Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Nintendo DS)

After Star Wars: The force Unleashed somewhat disappointing on the small console stylus from Nintendo, the LucasArts license juicy returns with the transposition of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which will be broadcast on W9 in December 2008 With this new episode titled Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance. We find our two Jedi hero of the eponymous animated film, Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, his padawan, in an action game. But they will not be alone for the investigation and we will fight in duet with laser saber Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Plo Koo, or Kit Fisto, the other Jedi Masters. That the Force is with us!

The Alliance is the Force

Long ago in a galaxy far, far away ... The Jedi Order must investigate the disappearance of a shipment of crystal laser sword. The routine mission quickly takes a different turn and the hand of Count Dooku is not very far. From mission to mission, two Jedi to choose among those cited in the introduction, we refer to full stylus in various environments, all more beautiful as each other. A true artistic work was done on the sets and staging as the angles are well developed.

For youngest among us and / or fans attending Star Wars, the game puts us in front of a true action game where finesse is not the watchword, but that is quite effective . The fighting saber laser are very common but very simplistic (three positions attack: top, bottom center and whose influence is not felt). Some sequences most spectacular result in contextual actions to chart a path to the screen with the stylus. To break the monotony, distracting minigames are present to break the security codes of control panels, to open a door or laser saber to circumvent a security system with R2-D2. The use of the L or R button allows you to use the Force to find secret passages or eliminate robots.

An obvious care was provided for this purpose which proposes a doubling in français fully realized by the actors in the series. Nice cinematic performed with the engine of the game introduced following the events and discussions of the Jedi Council. The musical themes are correct and true to the series for our greatest pleasure. Despite all this fine coating, the challenge before us is quite short and without much difficulty. The few puzzles are not complicated and only unlock artworks are based on its performance.

Conclusion

Offering the frantic action in various environments of beauty and achievement with a neat Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance will have a good time with your favorite Jedi. The low difficulty, the short life (partly due to a lack of challenge and the low number of puzzles) and the relative repetitiveness of situations, however, are regrettable. A title primarily for younger fans of the series, which offers an interesting history extending the Star Wars experience of the big screen and television.
