LDAP search filters using OU not supported?
Search filter is not working in Active Directory. I tried to find information on the same on Google, but there is nothing I can found. It looks like Active Directory does not really support this filters which uses OUs. Is there anyone who can help me to find a proper information on the same I need some basic help in dealing with the problem. It is better if there is far more better option available compared to this one. Thanks.
Re: LDAP search filters using OU not supported?
Old post and not quite what the OP was asking but for anyone else that stumbles across this and is trying to do the same thing.
I'd suggest executing the query using an account that is denied read on the OU(s) that you want to exclude.
Re: LDAP search filters using OU not supported?
I found this thread on Google, has anyone found a way?
I'm trying to search using,
filter: &(cn=me)(memberOf=CN=dept,OU=dept,OU=group,DC=company,DC=local)
basedn: OU=group,DC=company,DC=local
But it doesn't return a result. Will appreciate if anyone has a clue. Thanks.
