laptop will not automatically connect to wireless internet
I have a Dell laptop running with Windows Vista. I also have a Netgear Wireless router setup at my home. I configured my vista laptop to connect the network automatically when I boot the laptop but every time when I boot (though Wireless is option is set ON on the laptop) I need to fist right click the wireless icon in the system tray, diagnose and repair it, then it connects to the wireless network.
Any idea what could be the problem? I’m weak in networking part hence not able to get it fixed. Thanks for all your helps.
Re: laptop will not automatically connect to wireless internet
When you get connected with the said network, just check mark the options for “Connect Automatically” and “Save this connection.” By doing this, it will save the connection as access point in the system and should not ask again. Just make sure that you keep your laptop’s wireless Adaptor on always.
Re: laptop will not automatically connect to wireless internet
I've tried this over and over and it doesn't work. This problem just started after I took my laptop to Starbucks and logged in there. When I came back home I had to manually connect to my network. I checked those two boxes, but now every time I start my laptop, I have to manually connect to my wireless network. Can someone help me?
