How to make my USB mic amplify voice in real-time?
There is a Usb mic with me which will record sound and then play it back but I am not able to figure out how to get it to just amplify voice in reatime over the MCE's speakers like an analog mic does? I use my Media Center as a Guitar Hero Station, which is a playstation game thats been adapted for Windows XP, along with the common TV recording and the microphone was supposed to allow the person to sing along with the music like a karaoke-type thing. After recording and then playing back it will not cut it. Thanks for any information.

I think that you will have to normally bring up the mixer controls, either from the built-in Windows one or a third party software that might have come with the sound card. You will be able to see a slider and you should increase the volume of the input from the microphone.

I think that analog mics work that way but the USB ones dont work the same way. Normally, the sound that is coming in via USB will not get automatically amplified in real-time the way an analog microphone which plugs into the sound card does.
