Windows Media Player 11 - Won't Play DVDs
The computer that I have is not able to play DVD in Windows Media Player. I did try to install PowerDVD, but it is saying that there is no DVD decoder and shuts down. So, I downloaded a program that searches for decoders and it detected "mpgvideo.ax v. 2.4.0.28" that is not compatible with WMP 10 or 11 version. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks.
Re: Windows Media Player 11 - Won't Play DVDs
Can you try to find and install one of the mega codec program in your computer. This kind of software have the potential to solve the placback issues of a video.
Re: Windows Media Player 11 - Won't Play DVDs
I think that PowerDVD is a ripper program, but if you dont find a free codec somewhere then you can try the CyberLink PowerDVD SE for Windows XP that you can download from the its official website.
Re: Windows Media Player 11 - Won't Play DVDs
Instead of installing any codec software or anything else, download and install VLC media player. It comes for free download and can play any type of DVDs or files without having to install anything else.
