Windows Explorer Folder Icons
I know we can right click on a folder and change its icon, but the default icons use 2 - one for closed folder and one for opened folder. I think that it is in theregistry somewhere. I was not able to find any information on both states using the desktop.ini. Can anyone tell me how to change the default folder icons to represent the 2 folder states, and even change the drive icons? Thanks
Re: Windows Explorer Folder Icons
I think that the icons can be found in the below file:
%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll
where %SystemRoot% is the same place where Windows is installed in C:\Windows. So to change the icon for a folder, right click on the folder and choose properties from the context menu and then select the Customize Tab.
