Problems opening a pdf file though internet explorer
I'm not sure this is even a Vista question, but it wasn't an issue when I
didn't have it. When I try to open up a pdf file through the internet, it
takes forever and eventually an error message saying theres a problem with
Adobe comes up, but then the file opens (it just takes forever and is really
annoying). Once there is another pdf file up, this doesn't happen and any
pdf just opens right up. It also isnt a problem if I have a pdf file saved
on my hard drive and I open it from there. Anyone know what my problem is?

It's possible that the add-on for adobe in IE is corrupt, or needs updating.
IE, Tools menu, "Manage add-ons."
You can delete the activeX object for adobe, and open another document to
re-download the add-on. If that fails, you can reinstall the reader.

Have you updated Adobe Reader lately?

Hi,
I think maybe it is the pdf file which is corrupt. And you can try a
utility called Advanced PDF Repair to repair your PDF file. It works
rather well for my corrupt PDF files. Its web address is
http://www.datanumen.com/apdfr/
Hope this helps.
