Outlook 2007 incoming error 0x800CCC0F
I did a fresh install of Windows Vista on my new laptop. Configured Windows mail with my all POP3 accounts and it was working fine so far. Note, until now there was no Office Suite installed on this system.
Yesterday I installed Office Enterprises 2007. Since then my Windows mail can send the mails but cannot receive any. Tried many things but yet the same result. Finally I thought go with Outlook and configured outlook with my accounts. Surprisingly neither Outlook nor Windows mail can receive mails. I just keep on getting the following error message:
“Task pop.tds.net Receiving Reported error (0x800CCC0F): The connection to the server was interrupted. If this program continues, contact your server administrator or internet service provider (ISP)”
I confirmed about this from my ISP, they said everything is proper. So again I uninstalled Office 2007 and guess what, windows mail started working fine again. So it is confirmed that there is neither problem with my settings nor with my ISP. There is something wrong with Office itself.
Do yiou guys have any idea what could be wrong ?
Re: Outlook 2007 incoming error 0x800CCC0F
As the error itself says to checkout your Antivirus, did you checked for the same? if you are using Norton or McAfee than surely that could be the one causing the error because they have Email scanning features and they blocking considering every mail as malicious. Hence you should try disabling the Antivirus.
Easier Fix to this problem (I think)
Hey guys, even I have been through this error earlier on my Vista with same Windows Mail. In my case, I went to Tools, selected my Email account click change > more settings. Here go to Advanced Tab and make sure that “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)” box is check marked. That’s it. I dint faced any such problem again.
