How to change the IP address of Main Domain Controller
HiyA,
Got a 3 windows Servers. 2 x DC, ( of which 1 is a Global Cat server) and 1
member server running exchange.
I need to give the Echange server the IP address of the main DC/GC server
and give the Main server another IP address.
No other IP addressses are affected.
Is if just a case of giving the main DC/GC server a new IP, then giving the
Member server the now free IP address?
Many thanks
John

Hi John,
Yes you can do that but make sure your DNS is updated on the DC in a timely
manner. Reboot if you can. Otherwise restart the DNS service.
Client PC's should reboot. Once everything is stable, re-use the free IP.

Keep your router connected.
Email your IP to where you need it.
