Error code 8024402F
Hi.
I do have this update problem on Vista Ultimate.
Even reinstalling the software and trying the update as the first thing
after the installation brings the same error.
So this got nothing to do with 3rd party software I think.
It's a microsoft thing,
If anybody got a solution to that please let me know in here.

....just DISABLE bloking activeX in firewall/router ;/
...and life with Vista are colorfull again :P
