Deskjet 5550 Duplexes incorrectly
I am using a Vista ultimate desktop with HP Deskjet 5550 with Duplexer. I was using this successfully with Windows XP, but having some problems since i upgraded my system to Windows Vista. I installed the printer, installed HPA drivers and even enabled duplexer in the driver, and then select 'double sided' in the finishing properties.
All ok but when i try printing more than 1 page at a time (no matter from whichever application) the first page prints fine but get stuck on the second page. During the second page it sticks into the duplexer, spins it around, then spits it back out the print the other side and the second print gets out upside down! I never had this problem with Windows XP. Is it driver problem? I guess its Vista drivers unable to rotate the page correctly, and as
a result it makes a mess of the print. Any help will be appreciated.
Re: Deskjet 5550 Duplexes incorrectly
Did you got a proper Vista driver for your printer? Because as far as i know HP has no driver for Vista so far, i guess you might have installed windows xp driver or some other driver. Due to which all these problem occurred. By the way HP working to get their tech group up to speed on this as well as the fix
posted on Windows Update but both solutions take some process cycles. Also let me tell you that the problem is not just with your Printer model, infact here are about 20 HP printer models with the same issue.
